About this place
Set along Fuchu Kaido in the Musashi-Kosugi area, Torikin is a neighborhood izakaya dedicated to all things chicken. Scanning the menu, guests find classic skewers starting with the Yakitori Moriawase—pairing 4 chicken skewers with 1 vegetable skewers—alongside single orders of negima, tender neck meat (seseri), and well-liked tsukune meatballs. Beyond individual skewers, heartier hot-plate offerings like bone-in grilled chicken thigh and chicken thigh steak provide generous centerpieces suited for sharing.
The supporting chicken dishes offer plenty of variety across courses. Raw specialties such as torifugu-style thin-sliced chicken and sashimi platters stand out on the board, alongside comforting karaage fried chicken paired with lemon and garlic. Diners can snack on smaller plates of chicken wings, crispy skin, or gizzard (sunazuri) over drinks before rounding off the meal with a classic oyakodon bowl.
To drink, draft beer sits alongside Akita's dry Takashimizu sake, along with its seasonal brews including Spring Junmai, Summer Junmai, and autumn Hiyaoroshi. Pure rice sakes extend to Kubota, Dassai Junmai Daiginjo, and Mizuo Tokubetsu Junmai. The shop is open Monday through Saturday from 17:00 until late at 24:00, closing on Sundays, and accepts reservations. It remains an approachable stop whether you are pulling up a stool at the counter after work or gathering around a table for a relaxed evening.
